So, the Hydraulic tank dipstick is 20.5 inches long with the full mark about 15.5 inches below the cap. It says right on the dipstick: "3.8 litres or 1 US gallon between the ADD and FULL marks. The factory spec I believe is case hytran in everything except the engine. I'd have to go into a local case dealer, but seen $95 for 5 gal of hytran on the net.

I guess what I am trying to find out on my machine is if I have much access to this filter. If their are some actual pictures of where it is located on the machine that would be helpful.

Apr 09, 2019 · (It is a transmission and hydraulic oil in one that is like a 20W-30) Yes, the oil goes in the dipstick tube and it should be checked with the engine running. Try not to overfill the transmission and check the oil level when the oil is warm to hot. When the oil is cold, you can get it close but when the oil gets hot, it may be overfull.

Jun 11, 2018 · The hydraulics and the shuttle trans mission are separate systems, both systems use hydraulic oil. The four speed trans axle uses gear oil like 85/140 or 90 weight. You can use a cheap oil from any parts store to flush the hyd. system. The only way you'll ever get all the moisture out is to remove all cyl. and drain them.

Oct 18, 2020 · AW46 is straight hyd. oil and TCH/Hy-Tran is similar to a universal tractor fluid. Look for an oil that says it meets the Case specs. Just for the hyd's. you shouldn't need anything special. Transmission is where it pays to use the OEM fluid. I've used TDH from Walmart for a hyd. fluid with no ill effects. It has what specs. it meets on the pail.
